Schiit Audio Magni Headphone Amplifier and Modi DAC

0

Schiit Audio has just released their new Magni headphone amplifier and Modi USB DAC. These two new products are high-value, affordable components that benefit from Schitt’s experience.

The Magni headphone amplifier has been designed to be sufficiently quiet for driving most IEMs, but provides up to 1.2W into 32 ohms, which is plenty for many orthodynamic headphones.

The vast majority of the total production cost of Magni—chassis, boards, assembly, etc—goes to US companies manufacturing in the US.

Magni is covered by a two year limited warranty that covers parts and labor as well as a 15-day money-back guarantee of satisfaction – minus 15% restocking fee.

Specifications:
Frequency Response: 20Hz-20Khz, -0.1db, 2Hz-200KHz, -3dB

Weight: 1 lb

The new Modi is a USB DAC that uses a C-Media CM6631 USB 2.0 input receiver and 32-bit AKM4396 DAC coupled to an active filter output stage.

Modi will work with Windows or Mac computers and requires no drivers.  Modi provides up to 24/96 sampling rates and uses USB Audio 1.0 standard over USB 2.0, while being powered by the USB port.

At the core of the Modi is a 32-bit AKM4396 DAC with switched-capacitor filtering and a high-quality active filter section with excellent line-driving capability.

The Modi is also part sourced and made in USA and also comes with a two year parts and labour limited warranty and 15-day return policy, less 15% restocking fee.
