TEAC is expanding its already impressive line of turntables with the introduction of their new TN400S turntable. The new TN400S will be available in either a matte red or walnut veneer finish and is a 3-speed analog turntable (33-1/3, 45 or 78 rpm), which allows you to play anything in your vinyl collection.
The TEAC TN400S has an aluminum die-cast platter and a newly-developed attritionresistance spindle that provides for stable rotation speeds. A new S-shaped static-balanced aluminum tone-arm provides accurate tracking. In addition, this new TEAC turntable comes with a built-in phono stage which allows direct connection to virtually an conventional amplifier or a micro component and also has a PCM 48kHz/16-bit USB digital output for PC recording of your favourite vinyl albums. A universal-type head-shell allows the included MM-type AudioTechnica cartridge to easily be changed or swapped, if desired. The TN-400S details quality construction such as its machined aluminum operation knobs, new attritionresistance spindle machined from stainless steel and a durable brass spindle holder reducing friction and maintaining accurate rotation speeds.
For those looking to create a digital archive of your records, you can easily transfer music to your Mac or PC using the USB digital output. CD quality digital archiving via USB preserves your vinyl collection for use on a smartphone or Digital Audio Player.
The TN-400S will be available for $599.95 retail and begin shipping this November. Look for more information at: www.teac.com
