HARMAN International Industries has just announced a new audio/video receiver line featuring HDMI v.1.4a and the latest 3D features. The new line-up includes the following models: AVR 1565, AVR 1650, AVR 2650 and AVR 3650.

The AVR 1565 and AVR 1650 are the value oriented / budget-friendly models. These AVRs are 5.1-channel systems that feature Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding. The 1565 provides 70 watts / channel, an FM/AM tuner, extensive audio/video connectivity, and three HDMI inputs. The AVR 1650 provides the features of the 1565 plus: 95 watts / channel of power per channel, The Bridge IIIP connectivity, an additional HDMI input, and EzSet/EQ technology for greater flexibility in setting up a home theatre.

At the next level of performance and features are the AVR 2650 and AVR 3650, which can power 7.1-channel surround-sound systems. Both include network connectivity for Internet radio or music file streaming and include Dolby Volume with zone functionality for audio playback in multiple rooms. The AVR 3650 take it up a notch with 110 watts / channel and six HDMI inputs versus 90 watts / channel and five HDMI inputs with the AVR 2650.

The AVRs come in Harman Kardon’s black and brushed silver and have color-coded binding-post connectors and programmable remotes.

The Harman Kardon AVR 1565, AVR 1650, AVR 2650 and AVR 3650 are now all available.
