LG has just updated its Canadian website to show the LG 77EG9900 4K OLED TV with webOS, which means the model will soon be hitting store shelves. OLED technology has long been hailed as the pinnacle of TV technology and we’ve been waiting for what seems like an eternity for a 4K OLED set – this is truly the holy grail of TVs. OLED TVs have an infinite contrast ratio, with self-lighting pixel technology that displays the brightest whites to the deepest blacks for a greater sense of realism. LG’s advanced 4 Colour Pixel technology adds an unfiltered, white sub-pixel to the traditional red, green and blue, for a brighter picture with a wider range of colours and superior colour accuracy. This TV will also feature the company’s upgraded proprietary webOS and upgrade all content to 4K thanks to its TRU-4K Upscaler. One thing is for sure – we can’t wait to get our hands on a review set when they become available!
