Uamp has just launched their new Uamp portable headphone amplifier, developed to provide hi-fi sound from music devices, whether smartphone, mp3 player, tablet, laptop or PC.
Given the cheap and low quality headphone outputs of most portable music devices and PC’s, great sound is not possible by connecting headphones directly to these devices. This is where Uamp steps in. Listening to music through hi-fi audio equipment results in clearer, louder, and richer-sounding experience. Uamp makes hi-fi sound possible through a compact and portable device.
Uamp incorporates a slick aluminium-body design and measures just 1.69 x 1.69 x 0.36 inches (43 x 43 x 9 mm). At a weight of 0.9 ounces (26 grams) Uamp can easily be used while excercising, on the move, at play or travelling. With a ten hour rechargeable battery convenience is maximized.
Uamp has five times the power of the amp in an iPhone and allows easy connection via a 3.5mm headphone output. Uamp comes with five EQ presets (Bass Boost, Bass Boost 2, Treble, Streaming and Flat) as well as custom EQ setting that you can adjust yourself. The Streaming EQ preset is specifically designed to enhance the sound of music streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, Youtube, iTunes Radio, iHearts Radio and many more.
Uamp is currently available on kickstarter.com at an introductory price of $50 U.S. Look for more information at: http://www.uamp.co
