iHome has just launched a new portable speaker iPad/iTouch docking station, named the iD55. Sporting a convenient sliding cover for ultimate portability and protection, the iD55 is ready for travel.

The unit can dock and charge iPhones, iPods, and iPads; it also supports sound-only connections for other devices via an aux-in jack. In either case, SRS TruBass processing is used to add spaciousness, clarity and bass output.

The iD55 can operate using its included AC adapter or with four AA batteries.
