Yamaha has just introduced their new YAS-103 sound bar that improves on its predecessor, the YAS-101, by adding Bluetooth audio streaming and app control features. The new YAS-103 keeps the same form-factor and styling as the previous model as well as the dual built-in subwoofers that deliver rich bass.
The YAS-103’s Bluetooth capability allows it to be controlled through a free Yamaha Home Theatre Control (HTC) app, along with supporting music streaming from smartphones, tablets and computers. The Yamaha HTC app allows for remote control of input selections, surround modes and other settings via Apple iOS and Android devices.
The YAS-103 sound bar also provides Yamaha’s exclusive Air Surround Xtream, surround sound technology that supports Dolby Digital and DTS for virtual 7.1-channel surround sound. This impressive sound field is created by two full range drivers, two down-firing subwoofers and a bass reflex port. With a specific structural design and proprietary Advanced Bass Extension Processing (in surround mode), the YAS-103 provides bass response beyond its size.
The low-profile design of the YAS-103 allows it to easily integrate with flat screen TVs. It also has integrated IR repeaters to pass the TV remote control signals through, ensuring seamless operation. Wall mounting is also a possibility with the YAS-103. And, with its learning feature, the YAS-103 will allos select functions to be conveniently operated via the user’s TV remote control.
Yamaha’s UniVolume function eliminates the annoying and unsettling spike in volume during comme rcials when watching TV programming. Connection to a TV is as simple as hooking up the provided digital cable. There are two optical inputs, one coaxial input and an analog input.
The YAS-103 is available this month for an MSRP of $299.95 U.S. For more information, please visit http://4wrd.it/YAMAHA_YAS_103.
